VYS musicians learn the essential skills of ensemble playing with other students from across Vermont. VYS presents two concerts each year, and performs in local schools in the spring. VYP performs a variety of professional and educational repertoire, including mainstream orchestral pieces, contemporary music, and lighter fare such as film music. For many members, VYP offers them their first experiences playing in a full symphony orchestra and provides the ensemble training that prepares them to advance to the VYO. *Ticket pre-sale closes at 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 13. After that, tickets may be purchased at the door.
